Although the vehicle was in excellent condition at the time of ownership transfer, it was unavoidable to perform a number of repairs since. The scheduled maintenance was done on regular basis and the timing belt was changed at 90'000 km to be on the safe side. Almost all interventions in the engine bay are difficult or tricky because of the very restricted space. Mileage is 122'000 km at the end of 2022, i.e. 37'000 km added since acquisition. Performed work (not including routine maintenance): - repair of Voltage indicator instrument (quasi- analogue) - Coolant leakage at turbocharger connection sealed - main radiator rebuilt - remote control for central locking system added - switch for indicator of differential lock status of the rear axle replaced - battery replaced - AC system re- filled - AC compressor (leaking shaft seal) and dryer replaced, system re-filled anew - timing belt with guide pulley and water pump replaced (preventative action) - pressure accumulator of the high pressure hydraulic system replaced (request of the Road Traffic Licensing Board because the warning light came on after 4 brake cycles) - repaired scratched leather (from seat furnishing) of centre console. Leather re-dyed. - repair of oil temperature indicator instrument (quasi- analogue) - Changed tyres from 215/50 R 15 to 225/50 R 15 - replaced Lambda- sensor on preventative basis - replaced defective control unit for the clutch of the AC compressor - protective diode in parallel to the clutch for the AC compressor installed - AC system re-filled with R413a refrigerant - renewed all radiator hoses on preventative basis - brake master cylinder replaced - replaced corroded cover shields of rear brake discs. Rear brake pads renewed because one pad was broken - AC compressor replaced again (leaking again). New dryer installed and system refilled. - ignition cables and distributor cap replaced - wiper blades replaced - rubber seals for washing water pumps (windscreen and headlamps) replaced - electronic adjustment device for speedometer / odometer installed - sliding pads for front-seat adjustment renewed. play of seat -guiderails eliminated - brake master cylinder replaced again after failure of one brake circuit - timing belt with guide pulley and water pump replaced again (11 years and 27'000 km after last change) - water leakage at heating circuit- junction repaired (O-ring seal) - catalytic converters replaced by new all-metal converters - upper strut bearings of front suspension replaced - wheel bearings front replaced - old, non-original radio replaced with new multimedia / DAB + / navigation device - air flow sensor replaced after sporadic problems with engine power had occured - clips for sun visors left and right replkaced - linkage from cruise control to throttle system replaced - timing belt and V-belts replaced (10 years and 5'000 km after last change) - auxiliary radiator rebuilt - reflector for r.h. high beam light replaced - replaced all drivetrain and suspension rubber elements In addition I have removed the excess of wax applied by the pre-owner, which made some surfaces look slightly cloudy, with products from Swissvax. Now, after application of Carnauba wax, the car looks glaring in the very sense of the word. |
